Natural wonders

On this blog I'll introduce you to the most beautiful places in the world

Wuhua Hai or Five Flower Lake

Glistens in varying shades of turquoise, and the lake’s floor is strewn with ancient tree trunks. According to legend, the region’s 108 coloured lakes were created when a goddess dropped a mirror her lover had given her, smashing it into 108 pieces.

Auyán-tepui mountain

Auyán-tepui also spelled Ayan, is a tepui in Bolívar state, Venezuela. It is the most visited and one of the largest (but not the highest) tepuis in the Guiana Highlands. The uneven, heart-shaped summit plateau of Auyán-tepui is heavily inclined, rising from around 1,600 metres in the northwest to a maximum of 2,450 m in the southeast. It is incised from the north by a vast valley, the Cañón del Diablo (Devil's Canyon), formed by the Churún River. The larger western portion of the plateau is partially forested, whereas the eastern part comprises mostly bare rock with only patchy vegetation cover. The mountain hosts a number of extensive cave systems.

Cano crystal river

Caño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta. The river is commonly called "The River of Five Colors" or "The Liquid Rainbow", and is even referred to as the most beautiful river in the world due to its striking colors. The bed of river in the end of July - November is colored in gaudy colors, including yellow, green, blue, black, and especially red, the last caused by the Macarenia clavigera (Podostemaceae) on the bottom of the river.
